Well I manged to win my must win Dream Team contest this round, but no thanks to Lance Franklins contribution of 33! I nearly shat my pants when I logged on Saturday night to see Lance’s half time score of a massive -2!! Thinking surely the big fella is injured I chased up some news…. no no, he just had 1 hit out and 1 free kick against in 60 minutes of football!!!

Now the question is what to do with big buddy, his always been a DT favourite of mine and usually the first selected in my teams, however my faith he is going to turn it around soon is waning big time.

He now sports the low price tag of $242,000, so at worst I’ve lost myself $185,000 on his initial price. Or at best I’m stuck with an inconsistent player averaging 70 and is only a matter of time before he costs me a crucial Win. I only have 5 trades left so trading in a cash cow so late in the season isn’t really an option.

Hayden Ballantyne playing his second game over the weekend for Fremantle impressed with a 85. Now if I trade buddy for him I make a cool $160,000 and have a decent backup on my bench. I could then trade Walker or Sidebottom up for an absolute gun, Chappy or Stevie J to replace Buddy in the starting 22.

That’s the way I want to go but with so few trades left I’m not sure if I should pull the gun yet on Buddy. However with only 5 games left, and still 2 wins outside the 8, I cant afford to slip up.
