The purpose of this site started as a wordpress theming project, where I would get familiar with the application. Rather then follow some tutorial I thought I would put these skills to practice and make something worthwhile and meaningful to myself. Since im a huge AFL follower and a major crows fan, I thought I would base the site primarily on all things football related. The doesn’t mean I wont blog about anything else though.

One player that has taken me by storm in the last couple of years, is the big unit up forward (and occasionally in ruck) Kurt Tippett. After following the crows all these years, I have never seen a more impressive big man with agility, strength and courage. Hence when coming up with a name for my blogging site I decided to dedicate to Big Kurt!! And seems some other chump has bigkurt.com I had to chuck on his guernsey number 4 on the end!

So I’m out to start a public campaign, while Adelaide not be as “glamorous” as Gold Coast, while Kurt may not have grown up here, there’s one thing I know, and that’s that the Adelaide football public would be devastated if he would pull up stumps and return home. I also know that we have a fantastic youthful list that looks sure to threaten for a premiership over the next 5+ years so hopefully thats enough incentive to stay.

Don’t make the same mistake many of those before you have! Where has the careers of Josh Carr, Kane Johnson, and to a lesser extent Tyson Stenglien gone since leaving SA borders? The grass is not always greener on the other side!
